February Customer Events
This month’s February customer events took us to some of the most exciting endurance challenges worldwide. Although February may be the shortest month of the year, it certainly didn’t lack action. From Germany to the sun-soaked waters of Western Australia and the roads of Oman, endurance athletes across the globe kicked off 2025 in style. Whether swimming, cycling, or running, competitors pushed themselves to the limit – and Sportstiks was right there with them, ensuring every athlete was race-ready, easily identifiable, and looking the part. Here’s a closer look at the incredible events we supplied this month.

If you thought February was all about cold-weather endurance, think again. In Muscat, Oman, triathletes tackled the IRONMAN 70.3, an event known for its heat, hills, and high-level competition. With a backdrop of mountains and the Gulf of Oman, this race attracted a mix of elite pros and dedicated age-groupers, all pushing to conquer the 1.9km swim, 90km bike ride, and 21.1km run.
The swim kicked off in the warm, crystal-clear waters of the Gulf, offering athletes a relatively smooth start before heading into the real challenge – the bike course. Spanning 90km, the cycling route was a test of strength and endurance, taking competitors along stunning coastal roads before heading inland, where the heat and elevation gains made sure no one had an easy ride. The race wrapped up with a half marathon, where the temperatures demanded every last ounce of resilience from competitors before they finally crossed the finish line.
Sportstiks played a key role, supplying race bibs, tri-sets, and wristbands to ensure smooth race-day logistics. Our durable, sweatproof materials meant that no matter how tough the conditions got, race numbers stayed visible, allowing for seamless identification by event staff, photographers, and supporters alike. In a race where every detail matters, we made sure athletes could focus on the challenge ahead without worrying about their race numbers falling off mid-way.

Busselton Jetty Swim

February 8th and 9th, 2025
February saw swimmers return to one of the most iconic ocean swims in the world to take on the iconic Busselton Jetty Swim. This isn’t just any swim – it’s a 3.6km open water race around the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Held in the crystal-clear waters of Geographe Bay, this event attracts swimmers of all levels, from first-time challengers to elite competitors looking to make a splash.
But make no mistake – while the location may look like paradise, this swim is no easy feat. Open water brings its own set of challenges, from unpredictable currents to mental battles as athletes push themselves stroke after stroke. It’s an event that demands focus, endurance, and just the right amount of stubbornness to power through to the finish line.
And what’s a race without proper athlete identification? That’s where we came in. Sportstiks provided temporary tattoos to ensure every swimmer was marked and ready to go. Whether battling the waves, the competition, or their own limits, participants could dive in knowing their race numbers would stick with them from start to finish. Our temporary tattoos meant participants could rest easy knowing their numbers will stay put – no matter how wild the swim got.
Whether you’re hosting a open water swim or a triathlon, our products will help your day run seamlessly. Enquire now to learn how we can support your next event!

The TRIndoor sport event is all about speed, power and good vibes. Competing in a triathlon in winter might sound like a challenge but TRIndoor takes place inside an arena, using an indoor swimming pool, a high-speed track, and a cycling station to give athletes the full triathlon experience – without the risk of frostbite.
Hundreds of triathletes compete in the common super sprint distance and Laktat-Party. For those of you that don’t know, the Laktat-Party is a very short format of 40 m swimming and three times 3 km cycling plus 1 km running. Each lap takes athletes beyond their comfort zone, giving them the opportunity to compete against rivals for the first time in the new year and gives variation during the cold and dark winter months.
And let’s not forget the tradition that has become a must-have at TRIndoor – temporary tattoos. Since the second edition of the event, Sportstiks’ tattoos have been an essential part of race day. For the athletes it is a way of feeling like a professional athlete. As for the event organisers themselves, our temporary tattoos give a message to the younger triathletes, that it’s something even more special. Proudly wearing their numbers long after race day (whether at school, in the gym, or just out and about) is a badge of honour – proof that they took on the challenge and gave it their all. At Sportstiks, we love being part of that moment.
