February 7th, 2026
The Busselton Jetty Swim is one of Western Australia’s most loved open water swimming events, attracting thousands of swimmers each year to the stunning waters of Geographe Bay. The event is best known for its iconic 3.6km swim around the Busselton Jetty, the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, but the weekend also features a range of distances including a 1.6km One Mile Swim, a 500m shortcut swim and kids’ races, making it accessible to swimmers of all ages and abilities. With over 5,000 participants taking part across the weekend, the event combines serious competition with a strong community atmosphere.
For this event, we supplied temporary tattoos, providing a reliable and highly visible form of athlete identification in open-water conditions. In swimming events where athletes enter the water simultaneously and move through large fields, clear identification is critical for safety teams, marshals and officials. Durable tattoos ensure swimmers can be easily identified throughout the race while remaining comfortable for athletes in the water.

Bermuda Backyard Ultra

February 21st, 2026
The Bermuda Backyard Ultra delivered an incredible display of endurance and determination, following the unique “backyard ultra” format where runners complete a fixed loop every hour until only one athlete remains. This style of race tests not only physical strength but also mental resilience, as competitors must return to the start line each hour to continue. The event saw remarkable performances, including runner Florin Teleman, who continued running for an impressive 28 hours, highlighting the extraordinary stamina required to compete in this format.
Sportstiks supplied race bibs and wristbands for the event, helping organisers manage athlete identification throughout the long hours of racing. In endurance events where competitors may be running through day and night, clear identification is vital for both race officials and safety teams. High-quality bibs and wristbands allow organisers to track athletes effectively while providing runners with durable, reliable identification that holds up throughout the challenge.

IRONMAN 70.3 Colombo

February 22nd, 2026
IRONMAN 70.3 Colombo brought world-class triathlon racing to Sri Lanka, welcoming athletes from around the world to compete across the iconic middle-distance format. Traditionally, the race consists of a 1.9km swim, 90km bike ride and 21.1km run, testing athletes across three demanding disciplines. However, due to wildlife sightings near the swim course, organisers made the difficult but important decision to cancel the swim portion of the race in the interest of athlete safety. The event continued with a modified format, demonstrating the adaptability and professionalism of race organisers in prioritising competitor wellbeing.
For this major international event, Sportstiks supplied the full suite of athlete identification products – temporary tattoos, race bibs, tri-sets, wristbands and racking labels. These products play a vital role in triathlon operations, supporting everything from athlete check-in and transition management to race identification on the course. Reliable athlete ID ensures organisers can maintain control across large and complex events, while giving competitors confidence that the race environment is organised, safe and professionally managed.
