March Customer Events

March might signal the arrival of spring, but for endurance athletes, it was just another month of pushing limits and proving that race season never really stops. From sun-drenched ocean swims in Australia to challenging multisport races, competitors took to the water, road, and track – each event bringing its own unique test of endurance. And, as always, Sportstiks was there, supplying the essential athlete ID that keeps events running smoothly. Here’s a look at the events we supported in March.

March 9th, 2025

Taking place in the crystal-clear waters of Coogee Beach, Western Australia, the Coogee Jetty to Jetty Swim is a staple in the region’s open water swimming calendar. The event celebrated its 29th edition, drawing over 1,300 swimmers to the pristine waters of Coogee Beach in Western Australia. Participants had the choice of three swim distances – 250m, 750m, and 1,500m – catering to both seasoned open water swimmers and novices alike. The event also featured a beach walk, a community breakfast, and activities for the whole family, including the beloved Daphne the Duck.

At Sportstiks, we were thrilled to contribute to the event’s vibrant atmosphere by providing temporary tattoos for participants. These tattoos not only served as a fun keepsake but also helped identify swimmers, enhancing both safety and community spirit throughout the day. Swimmers were equipped with all the necessary tools to apply their tattoos, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities.

The Coogee Jetty to Jetty Swim exemplifies the essence of community engagement, bringing together individuals of all ages and abilities to celebrate health, camaraderie, and the joy of open water swimming.

Pembrokeshire Duathlon

March 9th, 2025

On March 9th, the picturesque Brunel Quay in Neyland played host to the Pembrokeshire Duathlon, a sprint-distance race featuring a 5k run, 21k bike ride, and a concluding 2.5k run. This event, known for its flat initial run through Neyland Marina and along the scenic cycle path by Westfield Pill Nature Reserve, followed by a bike course with moderate climbs totalling 208 meters and fast descents through a mix of main roads and quiet country lanes, attracted a diverse group of athletes. The final run mirrored a shorter version of the first, culminating on the seafront at Brunel Quay with the Milford Haven Waterway providing a stunning backdrop.

Sportstiks supported this event by supplying high-quality race bibs and tri-sets, ensuring participants had durable and reliable identification throughout the competition. Our race bibs, crafted from tear-resistant, waterproof Tyvek, are designed to withstand the rigors of endurance events, providing clear identification and enhancing the overall race experience. Similarly, our tri-sets offer a comprehensive solution for triathlon events, featuring all necessary stickers on a single sheet with customisable layouts and designs, made from materials that endure any race conditions while being easy to remove without leaving sticky residues.

Congratulations to all participants and organisers of the Pembrokeshire Duathlon for hosting a successful and memorable event.

Port to Pub

March 15th, 2025

If you thought a standard ocean swim was tough, imagine taking on nearly 20 kilometres of open water. That’s the challenge of Port to Pub – a brutal, yet awe-inspiring, swim from Leighton Beach in Fremantle to Rottnest Island. The event attracts elite athletes, dedicated endurance swimmers, and relay teams looking to take on one of Australia’s most prestigious long-distance swims.

Swimmers faced unpredictable tides, potential marine life encounters, and the mental challenge of pushing through fatigue in an endless expanse of blue. Support boats played a critical role in guiding and assisting competitors – but that meant clear identification was vital.

Sportstiks provided temporary tattoos for athlete marking, but we also stepped up to supply boat boards – cable-tied to support boats to make identification easier for officials and teams. Not our usual request, but we’re always up for a challenge! If there’s something you need for your event that doesn’t appear in our standard lineup, just ask – we’re happy to find a solution.

March 14th – 16th, 2025

The Devonport Triathlon is one of the most anticipated events on the Australian triathlon calendar. Held in Tasmania, this multi-day competition draws elite athletes from around the world. Featuring events like the Oceania Championships and World Para Series, it’s a high-stakes race where every second counts.

The course is both fast and technical, with a harbour swim, a challenging bike segment with sharp turns, and a final run along Devonport’s scenic waterfront. Athletes must balance speed with strategy – pushing hard while staying sharp through transitions.

Sportstiks supplied temporary tattoos to ensure clear athlete identification, crucial in an event of this level. Whether it was elite competitors sprinting for podium positions or age-group athletes chasing personal goals, our tattoos provided durable, race-long visibility.

Whether you’re hosting a open water swim or a triathlon, our products will help your day run seamlessly. Enquire now to learn how we can support your next event!

East Fortune Duathlon

March 23rd, 2025

The iconic East Fortune Racetrack in East Lothian became the ultimate playground for duathletes at the TriWorks East Fortune Duathlon. With a unique setting on a closed motor racing circuit, this event brought a thrilling blend of speed and endurance, offering athletes the chance to compete in both draft-legal and non-drafting sprint distance races. The challenge? A 5km run, a 20km bike ride, and a final 2.5km run. And if that wasn’t enough, junior races for Tristar 1, 2, 3, and Youth age groups kept things exciting for the next generation of athletes.

Sportstiks provided high-quality race bibs and tri-sets. We all know a race is only as good as its gear, and our durable, tear-resistant, waterproof Tyvek race bibs were ready to withstand the elements and the race-day chaos, while giving athletes clear and reliable identification from start to finish.

And let’s not forget about our tri-sets! With all the necessary stickers conveniently packed into one sheet, athletes had everything they needed in one place. Designed for multisport madness, these tri-sets stick to their job – they’re easy to apply, stay put during the race, and won’t leave any sticky residue behind.

A huge shoutout to all the athletes and organisers for putting together another epic event – we’re already looking forward to the next one!
